Climate Change Protests

Millions of people around the world walked out of their schools and workplaces Friday to demand urgent action on climate change. The global climate strikes, which are taking place in more than 150 countries, were scheduled ahead of the opening of the United Nations General Assembly and the Climate Action Summit on September 23.

Measles – Thailand

Thailand health officials have reported a total of 4,648 measles cases from 74 provinces through Sept. 15–including 539 cases with complications and 14 deaths.

Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever – Namibia

Health officials in Namibia reported a confirmed Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) case from Outapi District Hospital in Omusati region on Sep. 12. The case is from Oukwandongo village in Cunene province, Angola, bordering Oukwandongo village in Outapi district, Namibia. No death has been reported.
