CCHF death confirmed in Uganda

Ugandan health officials have confirmed that a health worker has died of Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) at the end of December. This is part of an outbreak in Masindi District in Western Uganda. The disease has been confirmed in Kikingura village in Bwijanga Sub County.

Dengue Fever – Oman

In a follow-up on the dengue situation in Oman, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has reported 40 locally transmitted dengue fever cases from Dec. 12-Jan. 6.
