Present movement…NW or 320 degrees at 12 mph…19 km/h. Hazards affecting land – wind: tropical storm conditions are expected to first reach the warning area on Sunday, making outside preparations difficult or dangerous. Hurricane conditions are possible in the Hurricane Watch area Sunday and Sunday night. Rainfall: Blanca is expected to produce total rain accumulations of 3 to 5 inches over much of Baja California Sur and the southern portion of Baja California, with possible isolated maximum amounts of 7 inches over Baja California Sur. surf: swells generated by Blanca are affecting the coast of southwestern Mexico and will reach the Pacific coast of the Baja California peninsula and the southern Gulf of California later today. These swells are likely to cause life-threatening surf and rip current conditions..


Canada – Canada’s first tornado of the year has been reported in southern Ontario on Saturday, May 30 around 2:30 p.m. local time. The destructive winds gusting up to 175 km/hr brought severe weather condition over the London area.

Pakistan – Flash floods caused by torrential rains in southwest Pakistan killed at least 16 people including 14 women. The floodwaters swept away many people in two remote villages of Khuzdar district in Balochistan, around 370 kilometres (230 miles) south of the provincial capital Quetta. The torrential rains in the hilly areas created flash floods which swept away some gypsy people sleeping in makeshift tents in the dried water channel.

Colorado, USA – Violent storms across Colorado have swirled into tornadoes that destroyed homes, popped open a sinkhole that swallowed a police cruiser and dropped so much hail on a Denver neighbourhood that residents had to dig out of waist-deep ice with shovels. Forecasters warned Friday that more severe weather and flooding was on the way overnight and into the weekend.
