Wildfires – Western Cape, South Africa
Military personnel have been deployed to the Knysna area to try and prevent looting, as wildfires rip through the area, already affecting about 10 000 residents and 20 suburbs. At the same time, blazes are spreading in Plettenberg Bay and around Port Elizabeth. A Plettenberg Bay resident called News24 on Thursday morning, saying his suburb was on fire and was being evacuated. Several buildings were gutted. One firefighter has been killed and another injured while fighting wildfires
Wildfires – Arizona, USA
Officials say wildfires that caused evacuations in two southern Arizona neighborhoods have merged. The blaze has destroyed an empty home in Cochise County and charred about 12 square miles (31.08 sq. kilometers) since it started Tuesday afternoon. 220 firefighters and 25 engines are managing the wildfire. There is no estimate for when the blaze will be contained and authorities expect it will be a long fight.

Angola: Yellow fever vaccine campaign
The Department of Public Health announced that a yellow fever vaccination campaign began Jun 9 and will run through Jun 18. A total of 135, 571 people aged 6 months and older will be vaccinated against yellow fever during this period in the municipalities of Cambundi-Catembo, Cahombo, Quela and Cangandala.
