Tropical Storms – Roundup of Tropical Storms:
In the Southern Hemisphere: Tropical cyclone 06p (Tiffany), located approximately 374 nm west-northwest of Cairns, Australia, is tracking west-southwestward at 13 knots.
Tropical cyclone 05p (Cody), located approximately 334 nm west-southwest of Suva, Fiji, is tracking west-southwestward at 04 knots.
Wildfires – Australia
Stranded holidaymakers are set to be evacuated from the West Australian tourist hotspot of Eagle Bay as firefighters continue to battle an uncontrolled bushfire. An emergency warning remains in place for parts of Eagle Bay, Naturaliste and Dunsborough in the city of Busselton. The blaze has burned through about 220 hectares but it’s believed no homes have been lost.

Monkeypox – Nigeria
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported three confirmed monkeypox cases in December 2021 in Cross River, Lagos and Delta states, bringing the total confirmed cases for the year to 34. A total of 98 suspected cases has been reported between January 1st and December 31st, 2021. No deaths were reported.
