In the Atlantic Ocean: Tropical depression Colin dissipated over North Carolina soon after forming. The remnants are moving toward the northeast near 10 mph (17 km/h) and are expected to turn east-northeastward and accelerate soon, emerging over the Atlantic waters east of North Carolina.
In the Eastern North Pacific Ocean: Tropical storm 04e (Bonnie), located approximately 1964 nm southeast of San Diego, is tracking westward at 11 knots.
In the Northwest Pacific Ocean – Remnants of Tropical storm 04w (Chaba), located approximately 190 nm west of Hong Kong, is tracking north-northwestward at 09 knots. This is the final warning for this system.
Tropical storm 05w (Aere), located approximately 111 nm northwest of Kadena AFB, is tracking northwestward at 05 knots.

Australia – Thousands of people in low-lying areas around Sydney are being asked to evacuate as residents and holiday-makers face “dangers on multiple fronts” in the region’s third major flooding event since March. In the past 24 hours, the NSW State Emergency Service has responded to more than 1,400 requests for assistance and conducted 29 flood rescues as torrential rain continues to lash large parts of the state.

Global Warming Affects Births of Wild Dogs
Global heating is causing endangered African wild dogs in Botswana to give birth 23 days later than just three decades ago, according to researchers from the University of Washington.
Briana Abrahms and colleagues analyzed observations of when the canines had pups from 1989 to 2020, comparing them with temperature data from a nearby weather station. The dogs seem to prefer breeding when the weather is the coolest, which is coming later and later each year. The team says it found an almost parallel link between the shift in birthing dates and the warming climate.

The Iraqi Ministry of Health announced on Thursday that the number of confirmed Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever cases has increased to 225 from 208 cases last week.

On 04 April 2022, the Provincial Health Division (DPS) of the province of Ituri declared a resurgence of the Bubonic Plague epidemic in the health zone of Rethy, in the territory of Djugu. From 27 Mar 2022 to 26 Jun 2022, 91 days of the epidemic, the health zone of Rethy, located in Djugu territory, Ituri Province, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), continues to report plague cases. A total of 351 suspected cases of plague have been reported, representing an attack rate of 0.14% with 5 deaths (case fatality rate 1.4%).
